Dear Parents, Teachers and Staff,

Congratulations to everyone who was associated with the Open Day in the Pre-Elementary school on Valentine’s Day.  It was wonderful to see such a good turn out and great to see our alumni and current parents amongst our guest speakers. Thanks to our Pre-Elementary teachers and staff as well to the MARCOMM team who do a wonderful job of promoting our school.

Hard on the heels of the PYP Exhibition comes the MYP Personal Project this Wednesday. This is the summative for the Grade 10 students and gives them the opportunity to really flex their inquiry muscles. The Personal Project demonstrates the student’s ability to independently organise, create, and complete a significant project. This is one of the highlights of our year and we encourage all our parents to come and check out what the students have been working on for the past 9 months. The exhibition will be on Wednesday, 19th from midday to 4:00 pm. On a related note, please spare a thought for our Grade 12 students who are in the second week of their mock exams as they build towards their final IBDP examinations.

This week is also Book Week. Fostering a love of language and literature is one of the most wonderful things a school can do. We look forward to the students learning, growing and most of all enjoying the written word.

Finally, our status on the Coronavirus is to continue to remain alert while encouraging people to stay calm.

Have a great week!

Martin Blackburn

Executive Principal
